THE ARGYLE HOTEL - LOS ANGELES, CA

Considered to be one of the most important Art Deco structures in Los Angeles, the former Sunset Towers, embodied all that Hollywood aspired to be in the 1930s. Once the elegant residence of Hollywood legends, The Argyle redefines the meaning of luxury and personal service for its guests. The glamorous art deco landmark features custom furnishings created by master artisans. Located at the peak of Sunset Boulevard, The Argyle provides spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood. One of many new and coming hotels in the central Hollywood area, the futuristic Dream Hollywood hotel on Selma near Cahuenga is gearing up for its opening this summer. New renderings of the structure give a peek at one of the 179 guest rooms inside the 10-story hotel, the double-height lobby, and the landscaped “public alley” that will link up the five eateries and nightlife spots in and adjacent to the hotel.

One thing the renderings don’t show is the eleventh-floor, 11,000-square-foot rooftop with a pool and a nightclub venue that will be topped with a retractable roof. They’re not just keeping all this fun to the guests – the roof will have both private and public entries. Heavy hitter Rockwell Group has signed on to “design the narrative” for the hotel; they’ve recently wrapped up work on the trendy co-working space NeueHouse not far away, in the new, mixed-use Columbia Square redevelopment.
