Josh Heidt

Josh Heidt is the Senior Building Enclosure Consultant with Terra-Petra’s Waterproofing Division. In this role, Josh coordinates and manages all aspects of below grade waterproofing, deck, balcony, podium systems, air and vapor barriers, including vegetated roof assemblies, and roofing systems. With more than 27 years of experience in waterproofing, drainage, and protecting the entire building enclosure from moisture intrusion and mold, Josh is highly qualified waterproofing consultant – with a CEP certification from AWCI.

As a big believer in Terra-Petra Josh supports the company’s original and continued mindset which is to: “Provide a holistic approach” to building envelope consulting and focus on “making the clients’ lives easier.” Josh agrees with Terra-Petra in that to achieve this goal, it is important to respond to clients’ needs in an expeditious manner and serve as their single point of contact for any of the company’s services they may need. This approach has allowed the Terra-Petra Waterproofing Division to achieve a very steady and organic growth from its inception.

Josh is no stranger to drainage, waterproofing, air and vapor barriers, coatings, and roofing systems. Over the years, working as a consultant and a manufacturer’s technical representative, he has provided system solutions for entire building enclosures for hundreds of projects. In his role now, as an independent waterproofing consultant, he finds the best system fit for each and every project whether it’s a below-grade hydrostatic or non-hydrostatic condition, back-lagged or front lagged walls, poured-in- place or concrete masonry units, or water features, pools or planters over habitable space.

Josh looks at each project as a challenge and assists the design team and building ownership with his product knowledge and experience to the best of his ability.
