The 272,245-square-foot Prologis Capelin Distribution Center completed and opened in Torrance, California in 2012. Located at 20000 S. Western Ave., this Class A, LEED-certified center is situated on a 14-acre site that previously held a vacant steel plant. Terra-Petra was brought in to design and install the building vapor intrusion system.

The center was designed by HPA and built by KPRS. David Prior of Klabin/CORFAC. It is a concrete tilt-up structure that features 38 foot clear heights at the first warehouse column, 51 dock high doors, concrete truck yard, ESFR fire suppression system and 1,100 sf of spec office TI area. Coverage of the 13 acre site is 45%.
